AWS DeepRacer Autonomous Racing AI
Developed reinforcement learning models for Amazon AWS DeepRacer, an autonomous vehicle racing competition focused on machine learning-driven navigation. I designed and optimized custom reward functions and hyperparameters for maximising accuracy and speed while autonomous racing and achieved top 10.
ASL Fingerspelling Recognition System
Developed a real-time American Sign Language (ASL) fingerspelling recognition system by expirimenting with multiple computer vision and deep learning architectures. Evaluated and optimized model performance through experimentation with preprocessing techniques, data augmentation strategies, and architecture selection.
Ocean Intelligence Graph Assistant
Helped design and develop an AI-powered platform that integrates Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Ocean Networks Canada data systems, and large language models into a unified research interface. We utilized a graph-based conversational architecture that allows users to visually branch topics and ideas.
Life and Hobbies
Hiking
Hiking is one of my favourite things to do in my free time. My favourite hikes include the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu, Patagonia's W Trek, and the Juan de Fuca Trail.
Crocheting
When I'm relaxing, I enjoy crocheting. Some recent projects include a rainbow sweater and a sun-and-stars cardigan.
Bread
I love bread. Especially fresh bread. That includes both making it, and eating it!
Running
I dont always enjoy running, but I love the challenge and thrill it brings when I finish a race! I have completed several half marathons, and recently a full marathon!
